Overview
This role will provide strategic people business partner support to the Fanatics Holdings Tech teams and our emerging and other businesses including Fanatics Events, Loyalty Co., and strategy. The People Director will report to the VP, People for Fanatics Holdings Inc. The person selected for this role will serve as a senior advisor and trusted partner to the senior leaders and teams they support, helping build and implement a people strategy that will help advance business goals. Acting as a coach, mentor and leader, this person will work with the business to evaluate and develop talent, assess business situations, amplify employee engagement, anticipate needs, make pro-active recommendations, and solve complex people issues. This person will also play a pivotal role in partnering with our HR operations team to build FHI's data and analytics capabilities.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide strategic people business partner support to key executives and their teams aimed at helping them achieve their business goals.
  • Partner with the talent acquisition team to support hiring the best talent.
  • Lead organization design activities and talent management strategies to implement new structures, roles and/or processes that create more effective and efficient organizations that are aligned to shifting business demands.
  • Support the stand up of new businesses for Fanatics including, but not limited to; Fanatics Events, Fanatics Loyalty Co., and Fan Data Services
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative approaches to retain, engage, and motivate our people.
  • Coach managers to build leadership capabilities and create a culture of followership within their teams and with key internal stakeholders.
  • In partnership with the operations team, help stand up FHIs data and analytics capabilities.
  • Provide rigorous data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs, in part to help identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and engagement.
What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of experience working as a people business partner.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to drive high impact partnerships, while working cross functionally with the leadership team.
  • Proven ability to consult with and guide business leaders and teams through organizational change / transition strategies that enable business growth, transition and continued evolution while challenging the status quo.
  • Experience building, scaling, and managing high performing teams acting as a role model, inspiring confidence, trust, optimism, respect, fairness, and collaboration.
  • Broad business and financial understanding.
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize large business data sets to develop innovative & holistic HR solutions that are forward thinking and growth oriented.
  • Intellectually curious, with the ability to make quick and nimble decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Humble, kind, and strong collaborator. A true believer in Fanatic's mission, and someone who embodies the values and embraces the goal of the company.
  • Exceptional communication skills: strong ability to distill complexity into crisp, easily comprehensible and compelling messaging; capacity for storytelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous priorities.
  • Experience with HR compliance (handbooks and policies), employee relations (employee hotline and support the timeliness of resolution), and organizational development.
  • Experience working with an operating company or corporate entity with separate operating companies strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience managing employee relations matters and carrying out investigations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, and Jira
The salary range for this position is $168,000 to $220,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
