The Strategic Project Manager- Contracts will play a lead role in driving the planning and execution of key departmental strategic and business initatives. These initiatives are driven by the contracts department, but may require coordination with the following functional departments: Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Program Planning & Control, and Quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Update and/or create department training plans, documentation and/or knowledge base

* Review and understand current contractual processes/policies, both documented and undocumented, including any known gaps and issues. Define, create, and update processes and documentation as required.

* Research and summarize requirements for key topics as requested by management

* Distribute annual customer survey and summarize results to management

* Represent Contracts department through ERP implementation acting as a voice for the department processes and needs

* Leads key depeartmental projects and intitatives which may include:

* File structure naming and conventions

* Update, automate and/or standardize key departmental forms/reports

* Implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management Software/System

* Compliance & Business management including monitoring & reporting

* Cross-functional systems integrations

* Automation of existing and new processes to drive efficiency across the organziation

Required Skills

Qualification/Knowledge/Skills Required:

* Proficient Microsoft Office products including Share Point; Power BI is a plus.

* Basic understanding of ERP systems, IFS ERP system preferred.

* 4 + years project management experience, PMP Certification is a plus

* Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and thoroughly attentive to detail in all actions.

* Process oriented with a demonstrated history of process improvement and continuous improvement achievements.

* Drive for results, action oriented, and high energy level.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills up to executive levels.

* Experience with new business system implementation.

Required Experience

* Bachelor's Degree required, with major in Business Administration, Accounting, Communications, Supply Chain, Marketing, or other quantitative field of study.

* Military experience highly desired and may also substitute for industry specific experience

* Ability to travel up to 25% as needed

* Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., visa sponsorship not available.

Preferred

  • Familiiarity with US Government contract administration including all FAR and DFAR regulations
  • Familiarity with US Export Control Regulations including ITAR and EAR compliance
  • Experience with contracts, legal terminology, and negotiation
