Location:
New York, NYThe Editorial Assistant, Destinations, is a key support role in Conde Nast Traveler's daily content workflow, helping produce and publish service and SEO content around places to stay and things to do in our audience's favorite locations around the world. This role reports to the Articles Director, while also regularly assisting the Editor, Destinations, and the Global Digital Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
Compile and regularly update a database of listings (hotels, restaurants, bars, activities, shops, cruise ships, etc.) in key destinations around the world.
Produce, assign, write, and edit listings, articles, and all Guides content in a brand-appropriate voice
Help ensure all venues have photos of appropriate quality and diversity
Support editors in article creation and digital rollout for destination-related global brand franchises, including the Readers' Choice Awards
Pitch, write, and edit occasional digital news and SEO content
Assist with website and newsletter production as needed
Support editors on travel bookings for reporting assignments
Support Global Digital Director and Articles Director on production needs for key digital packages
Manage contributor database as needed
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent writing, editing, copy editing skills, and attention to detail
Strong fact-checking and research skills
Ability to learn and operate digital content management system
Prior experience in travel or publishing fields is preferred but not required
Interest in travel and service journalism is essential
The expected base salary range for this position is from $56,500.00-$60,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
