The School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University has an opening for a Research Support Specialist C06 for the Global Labor Institute in the NYC Extension/Outreach Division.
Our Team:
The Global Labor Institute (GLI) at Cornell University's ILR School is dedicated to independent research and action on a new generation of strategies that the evidence says can produce better outcomes for large numbers of workers in global production.
What we are seeking:
This term position will execute research and support management of research projects for GLI.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Required to attend and present at conferences, workshops, and public events related to GLI's work. This position contributes to achieving successful project execution and demands the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work on simultaneous projects, and to work successfully with minimal supervision within a fast-paced, geographically dispersed team. Ideal for a pre-doctoral experience.
This is a one-year term, full-time, bargaining unit position that falls under the NYC ILR Extension exempt CWA contract. Initial appointment through June 30, 2025, position may be reappointed with approval based on available funding and work.
