Position Summary

The School of Professional Studies is seeking an Associate Director of Custom and Strategic Innovation to direct the administration and management of customized education programs. Lead strategic planning,and coordinate marketing strategies for continuing education and custom programs, including traditional continuing education courses, certificate programs, and executive education. Direct academic planning and curriculum development for customized programs. Collaborate with faculty and oversee new course development for noncredit programs. Prepare customized non credit program budgets, and prepare income and expense projections.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years managerial or equivalent combination in higher education in business or related fields. Must have a student-centered service attitude, a collaborative approach to working with faculty, and be able to work well with a multi-cultural community of faculty and students.

Preferred Experience:
Executive education background. Experience with P & L, accountability in corporate/professional services or educational settings. New business development, new product development, educational technology and teaching experience are a plus.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Must be able to work well in a changing environment and practice creative problem solving. Ability to plan, develop and implement programs and develop retention strategies. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create, implement, and evaluate programs. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and manage instructional staff.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Contract negotiation and event management skills.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
