Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Management to organize crew, materials, and equipment to achieve the highest productivity and quality and lowest cost in line with the budget.
  • Supervise and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers.
  • Responsible for the safety of the crew and willing to conduct all operations in accordance with all company and government safety rules.
  • Responsible for the communication of safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules to leadmen and crews.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Install, align, dismantle, rig, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans
  • Analyze production results and establish appropriate corrective actions, if required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • 10 years of experience as a millwright in a heavy industrial environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of crew supervision experience.
  • Must be comfortable working at any height.
  • Experience identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment issues including bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, open gears, conveyors, rollers, pulleys, and shafts.
  • Must have experience using hand tools, power tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, scales, laser alignment machines, optical levels, and plumb bobs.
  • Must be proficient in using precision tools such as inside & outside micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under his/her supervision.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
  • NCCER Certification.
