Position Description
Qualifications:
B.S. in Marketing or equivalent with 3-5 years experience in data warehouse architecture, design, creation and data validation.
Must be experienced in the complete development life-cycle of data warehouses and business intelligence solutions.
Must be able to develop custom PL/SQL queries with strong technical skills in Word, Excel, MS Access and Business Objects required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Physical Demands:
Normal physical requirements associated with working in an office environment such as prolonged sitting, repetitive motion such as typing on a computer keyboard, etc.
Responsibilities:
Validate the quality of data enhancements made to the production database such as validating catch-up files, manual fixes, and spot checking production change requests.
Validate weekly production loads, reviewing counts and identifying and resolving anomalies.
Validate production change requests including development and execution of test plans, validation queries, and documentation of results.
Support customer database reporting by maintaining look-up tables, preparing/validating standard monthly reports, creating new reports, and developing adhoc queries and reports.
Responds to complaints from Customer Service and provides status to stakeholders.
Execute ad hoc queries against the database for problem resolution, e.g. suspicious counts in selection, modeling or Business Objects reports.
Author production change requests to translate business requirements into programming and processing instructions for Acxiom developers.
Performs other work of the department but not that of a higher group.
